Welcome to our website! Thanks for following us along on our travels.
We started this blog when we left our California apartment in April 2019 to embark on a one-year trip around the world. Unfortunately, this RTW trip was cut a bit short by Covid-19 in March 2020, but we felt very lucky to be able to travel full-time for 50 weeks. We also share detailed budget breakdowns of how we much spend in every country we visit, as well as destination-inspired reading lists.
Now we both work full-time (and not remotely) in the Bay Area of California, and we enjoy traveling as much as we can with our limited PTO and exploring locally as much as possible. We hope we can inspire you to travel whenever and however you can, as well. Thanks for being here!
About Megan: Megan is a public librarian who enjoys seeking out independent bookstores, charming coffeeshops and libraries during our travels. She’s fascinated by history, which makes her the type of traveler who wants to listen to every track on the audio tour. Megan often shares her bookish adventures on Instagram and also writes about travel and books for The Everygirl.
About Jonathan: Jonathan is an engineer who is always on the hunt for the best ice cream (or gelato!) and enjoys making home videos of our trips with his beloved GoPro. His engineering background also draws him to impressive structures, geological formations and other feats of engineering during our travels. Jonathan can be found on Instagram.
