Photo Gallery: The Vibrant Getsemani Neighborhood in Cartagena

Like many “up-and-coming” neighborhoods around the world (though I’m pretty sure Getsemani is already here), the Getsemani district in Cartagena was formerly a high-crime area that has since been transformed into a tourist hotspot. There are plenty of hostels, bars and restaurants (we recommend Café del Mural for an afternoon cold brew) situated among Getsemani’s colorful streets replete with beautiful murals. Hopefully we’ll have amore comprehensive guide to Cartagena on the blog soon, but for now, enjoy some of our favorite snapshots of this colorful corner of Cartagena de Indias.

I love this quote. I saw it multiple times while traveling in Colombia, and it really does reflect the warmth of Colombians.
